Terms of sale and license

Last updated: October 25, 2026.

These terms apply to the HoldTalk app and to the HoldTalk Pro license. They are short on purpose: if anything is unclear, write to [email protected].

Who sells

HoldTalk is published by Théo Belnou, sole trader, NIF Y8506543F, Calle de Francisco Sempere, 4, 46006 Valencia, Spain. Pro licenses are sold by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as reseller (merchant of record): Lemon Squeezy collects the payment, issues the invoice and pays the VAT due in your country. Its own terms of purchase apply to the payment.

The free version

HoldTalk is free to download. The free version lets you dictate up to 2,000 words a week, with every language and the basic features. The counter resets to zero every Monday.

HoldTalk Pro

14-day refund

If HoldTalk isn't right for you, you get a full refund within 14 days of purchase, with no need to give a reason. Write to [email protected] from the email address you used for the purchase. The key is then deactivated.

System requirements

A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 26 or later, a microphone, and the Accessibility permission for the dictation key and pasting. Try the free version before you buy: it works exactly like Pro.

Updates

Updates to version 1 are free and install from inside the app. A future major version may be offered at a reduced price to license holders, and it will never make the version you already bought unusable.

Liability

HoldTalk transcribes your voice with Apple's speech recognition, so the transcription may contain errors. Read your texts over before you send them, especially if they have medical, legal or financial consequences. To the extent the law allows, the publisher's liability is limited to the price paid for the license.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law, without taking away the protections that the law of your country of residence gives you. If there is a disagreement, write to support first: I almost always find a solution with you.
